Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten was built in 2004, instructed by the Bhutan’s Empress. The Bhutanese spent 9 years to build this unique four-level height structure for praying for peace.

When you go to the top of the Chorten, you can see the two famous rivers in the Punakha Valley,  Pho Chhu and Mo chhu, which means the river of father and the river of mother.

You may ask how to distinguish the two rivers? The river with lighter water colour is the pho chhu (river of father).

卡姆沙耶里納耶紀念碑(或佛塔) 建於2004年,裡面供奉了所有各類的護法神明,目的是為了驅惡揚善,祈求世界和平。

儘管這只是十多年的建築物,佛塔亦有按不丹一貫的建築特色而建造,樓高四層,建築歷時九年,是集不丹木匠、畫師、雕塑家的心血之作。特別的是,這裡沒有好似不丹國家紀念碑那樣,有一些參拜儀式,這純粹的,只為提供遊人,一些精神上的力量。

沿梯級上到紀念碑的天台,可以一覽普那卡山谷的壯麗景色,一條河道縱貫山谷,另一條河道從左邊橫流而來,便是普那卡著名的兩條河 – 父親河(Pho Chhu)與母親河(Mo chhu)。

我們問:「如何分辨父親和母親河?」

Caiwang 笑笑說:「河水比較淺色的,是父親河 … 男人都比較心軟嘛。」

我們都笑了。
